Kelly Rowland’s Looking for The Next Girl Group w/ ‘Chasing Destiny’

The singer is making a documentary television show to look for the next big girl group

Destiny’s Child is unarguably one of the best girl groups of all time and one of the highest selling groups. Each of the well-known (and longest lasting) members of the group Beyoncé Knowles, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland have all gone on to find success in their respective careers.

As a solo artist, Rowland has successfully released four studio albums, acted in hit productions such as FOX’s Empire, and acted as a judge on the US version of The X Factor. She is now in her own right taking on the task of finding the next girl group.

Rowland and Frank Gatson, the group’s former choreographer and director have already begun their search across the states. Gatson not only choreographed for Destiny’s Child, but also for Usher, TLC, and many other famed entertainers. Gatson was the choreographer for Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love and Single Ladies videos.

The documentary style show called “Chasing Destiny” and will be shown on BET. The show was produced by Gatson, Rowland, and her husband and former manager Tim Weatherspoon.

BET recently released the extended trailer for the show.

“Chasing Destiny” premieres on April 5th on BET at 10:30pm.
