Judy Garland

Judy Garland is one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived. She was a singer, actress, and vaudevillian.

Her career spanned over 40 years, including a Golden Globe, (Juvenile) Academy Award, and a Tony Award. Garland also made history for being the first woman to win a Grammy for Album of the Year and the youngest recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award, which honors those who worked in the film industry.

She was also nominated for many other awards such as an Oscar. Her best known role was Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz’ but she also starred in other classic films such as “A Star is Born”, “Strike Up the Band”, “Meet Me in St. Louis”, and “A Star is Born”. Garland’s legacy lived on after her death in 1969 in the form of her daughter, Liza Minnelli, whom she had with famed director Vincente Minnelli.
