Grace Coddington is the creative director of American Vogue. She first began her career in the fashion industry as a model at the age of 17, when she won a Vogue modeling competition. At 26, her modeling career ended after a car accident damaged her head and eyelid. Two years, following her accident she began working for British Vogue as a Junior Editor and later moved to New York to work for Calvin Klein. Following her time at Calvin Klein she moved on to work with American Vogue. Being the Creative Director of one of the most well recognized publications in the world has made her a living legend for her hand in the artwork that is fashion. She turned a fashion publication into a story full of emotion and color. Many in the fashion community are wondering what will happen to the creative direction of Vogue after Coddington recently vacated her position; however, she still plans to make heavy impacts within the fashion industry.
