Blackish Reaches Back To “Good Times” For Season Finale

ABC’s hit sitcom Black-ish has been a staple through the past year, with fans tuning in every week consistently and a huge streaming base on HULU.  Unlike most sitcoms, it features classic comedy, while hitting on serious topics such as feminism, police brutality and black families transitioning into middle and upper income neighborhoods.  This isn’t a new concept, it was touched upon in the 70’s with “The Jeffersons”, which led to “The Hughley’s” in the 2000’s.  All of these shows were quality shows and Black-ish, brings an updated creativity for its’ millennial parents and viewers. Black-ish touched on President Obama’s promise of “Hope” and it’s results, the “N-Word” and views on the “black church” this season.  Tracy Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson make a dynamic couple on the show, as somewhat opposites and similar. Season 2’s upcoming season finale will reach back and re-create some classic scenes from the legendary show “Good Times.” The episode will air May 18th. Check out a few clips of the show below:
